Ignacio Navas (b. 1989, Tudela) creates narrative projects that use common daily life experiences to delve into the nuances of our society. Through this approach, he visually researches how political, economic, and social structures are made present and shape our everyday affaires. In his latest works, he uses new technologies to explore interactive pathways for the medium by creating photography-based interactive projects.

In 2024, he was selected for Plat(t)form at the Fotomuseum Winterthur (Switzerland). Also, in 2022, he became part of Futures, having been nominated by PhotoEspaña. His work has received support from several fellowships and grants, including the Navarre Government’s Plastic and Visual Arts Support Fellowship (2024) and Circuitos (Madrid, 2023). His images and interactive installations have been presented in solo and collective exhibitions in countries like Spain or France. His projects have also been part of initiatives such as Photoworks Digital Programme (2023, UK), Return2Ithaca Residency (2023, Greece), and FOAM Link Room (2023, Netherlands).

Ignacio believes that contemporary cultural creation can't be understood without its management. This belief led him to lead collective projects like El Local, an independent space for contemporary photography in Madrid, or La Embajada, an unofficial platform for Spanish Context Photography at the Rencontres d'Arles Photo Festival, among others.
